Our primary objective is to arrange finance that is appropriate, suitable, and aligned with your circumstances.
Services We Provide
Sira Finance is authorised to engage in credit activities under the NCCP Act.
We can provide credit assistance by:
● Providing information about loan or lease products
● Assessing your eligibility for a loan, lease, or credit increase
● Recommending a suitable credit contract
● Recommending you retain your existing credit contract (if appropriate)
● Assisting you to apply for a credit contract or consumer lease
Our Responsible Lending Obligations
Under the NCCP Act, we must ensure that any credit contract or increase we assist you to obtain is not unsuitable for your circumstances.
To do this, we must:
● Make reasonable enquiries about your requirements and objectives
● Make reasonable enquiries about your financial situation
● Take reasonable steps to verify your financial position
Credit will be considered unsuitable if:
● You could only repay it with substantial hardship; or
● It does not meet your stated requirements and objectives.
You are required to provide accurate and complete information. Providing incorrect or incomplete information may affect the lender’s decision and could place you in breach of your obligations.
You may request a copy of our Preliminary Assessment within 7 years of receiving credit assistance. We will provide it within:
● 7 business days (if requested within 2 years), or
● 21business days (if requested after 2 years).
Acting in Your Best Interests
When providing credit assistance, we are legally required to act in your best interests.
This means:
● Any recommendation must prioritise your interests
● We must consider a range of products before making a recommendation
● We must document and explain why the recommendation aligns with your needs and objectives
If any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest arises, we will disclose it and ensure your interests areprioritised at all times.
Conflicts of Interest
You may be referred to related serviceproviders such as accountants, financial planners, insurance advisers, or realestate professionals. These services operate independently and under separatelicensing arrangements.
You are under no obligation to use anyreferred service provider.
If we receive any benefit for areferral, we will disclose this to you at the time of referral.
Fees Payable by You
If a fee is payable by you for ourservices, it will be disclosed in a Credit Quote before you proceed.
The Credit Quote will outline:
● The amountpayable
● When it ispayable
● What thefee relates to
Fees Payable to Third Parties
When your application is submitted, lenders may charge fees such as:
● Application fees
● Valuation fees
● Settlementfees
● Governmentcharges
These will be disclosed in your CreditProposal and loan documentation.
If your loan does not proceed, you maystill be liable for certain lender or third-party fees.
Commissions and Remuneration
We may receive commission from lendersor lessors for arranging your finance.
Home Loans & Investment Loans
● Upfrontcommission: Generally 0.5% – 1.0% of the loan amount
● Trailcommission: Generally 0% – 0.30% per annum of the outstanding balance
The exact commission payable will bedisclosed in your Credit Proposal and Statement of Credit Assistance.
You may request a reasonable estimateof commissions at any time.
Broker Benefits Disclosure
We maintain a register of benefitsreceived from lenders or aggregators valued at $100 or more. You may request acopy to ensure transparency in our practices.
Tiered Servicing Disclosure
We may have access to tiered servicingarrangements with certain lenders. These arrangements provide improved servicestandards but do not provide additional commissions or preferential customerpricing.
